Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste

This marvel of Romanesque art raises its magnificent apse with buttresses-columns on the banks of the Vonne. The artists of the time put all their talent into the realization of the decorations and the sculptures of the apse. The large Gothic bay on the west facade was reopened in 1994. Following a competition, a fused glass window, the work of Thierry Gilhodez, was installed there in 1999.
Under the upper part, in yellow, different shades of blue evoke purifying water. The other bays have been provided with stained glass windows made by the glassmakers Gilhodez, Guevel and Fanjat, made in 2005 on the theme of the baptismal water

The washhouse, nearby, receives water from the fountain of Saint-Macou, resurgence of water whose source is under the choir of the church.
