The Sainte Croix Museum is celebrating its anniversary! 

Yes! The Sainte Croix Museum is 50 years old this year. To celebrate its birthday, the museum is offering a special program and free admission for all until the end of the year. 

Exhibition “The Museum”

From December 5, come to the Sainte Croix Museum in Poitiers to discover this exhibition dedicated to women artists. More than 500 pieces make up this collection, enriched by Eugénie Dubreuil. This collection extends from the 17th to the 21st century. Its aim is to highlight women, too often sidelined in the world of Art.

500 Ferrari against Cancer at the Circuit du Val de Vienne

This charity event highlights the Circuit of the Vigeant hundreds of Ferrari cars. All profits are donated to the cancer center of the CHU de Poitiers. A nice initiative to support every year!

Jazzellerault Festival in Chatellerault

For ten days, Châtellerault is tinged with a "jazzy" atmosphere with various concerts, some of which are given by a few international jazz stars!

La Gravienne Bike Race

Rather “Fid’Garce” route (286 km) or “Ah bah Couillon” (886 km)? These two bike loops take you independently to explore the cultural and gastronomic heritage of the Vienne ! In 2024, a little new “À c’tantôt” appeared (386 km)!

The Anako Ethnographic Film Festival

The Lyrical Evenings of Sanxay

Third lyrical art event in France: its incredible setting the Gallo-Roman theater of Sanxay has a lot to do with it. The incredible acoustics of the place will transport you into the world of opera in complete lightness. In 2024, it is an opera by Giacomo PUCCINI, La Bohème which was on display.

The Medieval Fair of Château-Larcher

The medieval fair of Château-Larcher is two days of celebration as we could have experienced in the Middle Ages. Animations on medieval times, food market, art exhibitions and other surprises will invest the village labeled "Small Cities of Character" with its castle and its green setting.

Les Echappées en Loire (formerly Vins, Vignes et Rando)

Each year, the winegrowers of the Loire Valley honor the wine estates and the wines through around twenty hikes between Nantes and Blois. Two of them are in the Vienne and highlight their delicious wines: the AOC Haut-Poitou and the AOC Saumur Nord Vienne . Choose one of these two gourmet walks to explore the landscapes, the vineyards, and taste the wines produced on site!

The Urban Trail in Poitiers

The Big Meal

Take part in this annual event! The Grand Repas brings together the inhabitants of the Vienne and visitors around a delicious meal made from local and seasonal products. In 2024, the proposed menu was developed by the sponsor of the territory of the Vienne, Brice Joseph, Restaurant Chef The Saint-Jacques Farm à Chatellerault.
