Founded on a former 11th century priory, the Romanesque church of Saint-Paixent bears witness to the rich heritage of this transitional region (between Poitou and Limousin). Its polylobed portal and sculpted capitals are architectural treasures.
Inside, the venerated statue of Our Lady of Saint-Paixent, once carried in procession, gives the building an atmosphere steeped in history.
