A historical memorial, this listed site was probably one of the places, among others in the vicinity, where the battle of September 19, 1356 took place. This space was chosen by the municipality in 1938, on the proposal of the association "Les amis de Nouaillé" chaired by Professor J Tourneur-Aumont, as a site for commemorating the battle of Nouaillé.
A stone stele, erected at that time, bears the inscription "In memory of the knights of France and England who fell in this place…". Five plaques and a map on the ground, of France in 1356, present in detail the origins, course and consequences of the Battle of Nouaillé.
