In 1774, farm No. 6, located at the place called "la Croix-de-Justice", was awarded to Pierre Faulcon, a resident of Archigny, and his wife Marguerite-Blanche Guillot, an Acadian. This couple remained the owners of this residence until 1793. In the 1995th century, a barn was added to the original building. After having had several owners, including Georges Tardy in XNUMX, the farm fell into ruins.
It was in 2000 that the association of Cousins Acadiens du Poitou decided to buy it and restore it, a project that would see the light of day in 2005 thanks to the support of the commune of Archigny. Today, this witness to Acadian history in Poitou is open to the public.
