Association Les Jours d’Angles

It is in one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France, Angles-sur-l'Anglin, that this unique technique which consists in creating openwork patterns on textile works was born. Using very fine and very sharp scissors, the marker draws threads on the warp and weft direction of the fabric, thus obtaining openings which the openworker then decorates, with thread and a needle, with stitches specific to the Days of 'Corners. The backing can be silk, linen, cotton or any other plain weave textile.
To avoid the disappearance of this unique technique in France, the association ''Sauvegarde et Rayonnement des Jours d'Angles'' was created to ensure the sustainability of this art craft recognized since Cultural Heritage. It dispenses its know-how, but also maintains the production of traditional works and contemporary creations of impeccable execution.
