Château de Marconnay
The castle of Marconnay, from the XNUMXth century combines Gothic and Renaissance style, surrounded by deep moats.
Catering on site. Beautiful XNUMXth century dwelling to which a Renaissance-inspired wing was added in the XNUMXth century.
Steeped in history, it belonged in particular to Charlotte de Vernoux, lady-in-waiting to Madame de Montespan. Enclosed in a quadrilateral bordered by ditches, protected by towers, this residence is a perfect example of the small feudal fortress where the Gothic is combined with the art of the Renaissance. It has a postern and the remains of a drawbridge.
Do not miss to go inside to discover an exhibition of old tools.
