L’Octogone

Located in the courtyard of the Maison-Dieu monastery-hospital stands a curious octagon from the XNUMXth century.

It is a funeral chapel with two floors: In the upper part, a chapel made it possible to pay homage to the deceased while in the lower part, it served as ossuaries pending the resurrection promised to Christians. (The bones were regularly taken from the cemetery and transferred to the octagon).
