It is located in the middle of a cemetery shaded by lime trees and cypresses, from where there is a beautiful view of the Vienne. At the apse of the church, a mile marker testifies to the previous occupation of the site: Saint-Pierre-les-Eglises is placed on the route of a Roman road leading from Poitiers to Bourges. This route was marked with mile markers to indicate distances.
Inside, frescoes which seem to date back to the XNUMXth century have the theme: the Crucifixion, the Visitation, the Nativity, the Bath of the Child Jesus, the Adoration of the Three Kings... in shades of gray, white , yellow ocher and red ocher.
