Les Grottes de la Norée
Located in the Boivre valley, a few kilometers from Poitiers, the Norée caves are the only natural cavities in the region. Vienne open to the public.
Along the 150m of galleries and the 6 accessible rooms, you will discover the stalagmites, giving effects of petrified waterfalls, veils, draperies and other strange geomorphological forms, enhanced by the play of light.
The guided tour (45 min) will allow you to understand the history of the discovery of the caves, their formation but also to discover the legend of the Grottes de la Norée.
An exhibition is dedicated to the history of caves over time, from their formation in the Middle Jurassic to their discovery, including the life of bats. Guided tours. Shop.
