Théâtre Blossac

Installed in the middle of the 19th century in an old church, the Châtellerault theater is at the heart of the artistic and cultural life of the city. Created on the model of "Italian-style" theatres, it has a horseshoe-shaped room, richly redecorated in 1899 and which has remained almost unchanged since.
With its period decor and machinery, it is now a heritage site as well as a place of artistic creation: the discreet integration of new equipment once again makes it possible to perform on stage. The Pays d'Art et d'Histoire service of the Greater Châtellerault Agglomeration Community offers guided tours all year round by reservation for groups as well as discovery and themed tours (machinery, workshops, fun tours, etc.). ) during school holidays and some weekends for individuals.
