Exposition “Lumières du Silence” par Christine Morin et François Chauvin
Christine Morin explains, "Painting is a simple, direct and revealing tool, but also a kind of void, silence and twilight. Looking at the surface, following the ideas, waiting, listening, being attentive. Trying to find that intimate point of balance and accuracy… The research I pursue in painting and installations can be likened to contemplation. Contemplation, respect and curiosity, I try to share this."
François Chauvin presents himself thus "I am my own current, curious about the impulse, about life and curious about the way it pushes us to rise. A radical rebel, in pursuit of beauty and the sacred, I like to offer an offbeat point of view through techniques that I reinvent.
I use three media to reveal the path of this life force: Tuffeau and slate, wicker and image.
