Entre Groie et Bouleure
The land of the "groie" is not very vast on the territory of the Civraisien in Poitou. It is a small enclave inserted in the vast expanse of the red lands. The lands of "groie" are clayey-calcareous soils easily identifiable by the multitude of small limestone stones which emerge during the ploughing period.
The route also runs intermittently alongside the Bouleure, a small river tributary of the Clain which has the particularity of seeing its waters disappear during the summer months.
Between plains and valleys, open landscapes and landscapes closed in on itself, you will discover the different facets of this rural land. The villages crossed or approached offer to the eyes beautiful examples of habitats and agricultural buildings made of stones taken from this soil.
