Chalandray has the particularity of being crossed by the Greenwich Meridian, symbolized by a spherical sculpture on the RN 149, in the town center.
The village is located in the green valley of Vendelogne, in the hollow of which is nestled the Château de la Motte, a beautiful 15th century dwelling.
As you head towards the castle, stop at the Notre Dame church to see its apse and its Romanesque heart. You will also be able to see in the commune, the private castles of Tréguel, de la Bretonnière or the Rouilly mill.
Extend your walk with a gourmet stop at Maison Mitteault, renowned for its foie gras which you can taste near the Cramard chapel, a charming 10th century parish church.
