Église Sainte-Croix d’Angles-sur-l’Anglin

Vestige of an ancient abbey church founded in the 11th century by Isembert I, Bishop of Poiitiers, the Sainte-Croix d'Angles church offers an exceptional testimony to the Romanesque architecture of the 12th century.
Its Latin cross plan, its ribbed vaulted nave and its facade decorated with a main portal flanked by two false portals bear witness to the richness of its past.
