Small rural heritage

Falunières de Moulin Pochas

In the past, a warm sea separated Brittany from the continent. From this marine episode of Tertiary times, we still have the Amber Faluns. The site is a former shell sand quarry also called "Faluns". Several pits or working faces bear witness to this almost contemporary exploitation, and the soils once exposed have now found natural vegetation of the "dry orchid lawn" type. 2.3 km circuit with five reading tables and geological interpretation. Departure from the Amberre football stadium car park and follow the signposts.
