Ornithological Reserve - Beaumont Saint-Cyr
Saint-Cyr Lake has always been a spring and autumn stopping point and a winter refuge for migrating birds.
To increase the value of the site by attracting more species for longer periods, the Ligue pour la Protection des Oiseaux (LPO) has created a 40-hectare ornithological reserve here. This area of wetlands has now been restored and is home to a diverse range of animal and plant life all year round. Walking trails, hides and information boards enable visitors of all ages to enjoy the reserve. This unusual area of wetlands is a fine example of how people and birds can successfully coexist!
