A few minutes from Poitiers, this orienteering will take you through nature on a “ two wheels » ultra secure while answering a series of puzzles. We asked the Durand family to test this Trott'Expérience for you, belonging to the brand's network "Expériences Famille". It is David, the father who tells us about their afternoon.
Take on this funny machine
With my little tribe, we wanted to get some fresh air and discover the local heritage in an unusual way. Neither one nor two, so we went to Trott'in Poitou to learn more about their electric scooter and their orienteering course. Once there, first surprise: this funny two-wheeler looks more like a bike on which you stand than a scooter as we are used to seeing.
©Pomme-verteJulien, our 14-year-old inspects it from every angle and asks Baptiste lots of questions about how they work. He then invites us to put on our helmets then carefully climb on the scooters. He ends by explaining to us how the application works in which there are the puzzles to be solved and win the game.
Lagrasse is the perfect setting for puzzles, he leaves us the choice of theme : the cultural heritage. and local culture or the Olympics. After a family vote, we unanimously chose the local heritage and culture.
In search of playful escape
Once the theme has been validated on the smartphone, it was gone! The application showed us the way to follow by telling us the story of the places in front of which we passed: église, river, forest or undergrowth, … we discovered with a new eye all that surrounded us. After a few minutes of strolling, the game offered us the 1st riddle with a clue to find in the surroundings and to scan in the application to be able to move forward. Once the riddle has been solved, Julien decides to go a little ahead of his mother and me to really test the behavior of our two wheels. We therefore follow him from afar during the course, finding him at each stage.
And then we end up getting caught up in the game of racing by setting up small family challenges in order to spice up our experience a little: the one who will find the most answers or clues, the one who will reach the line arrival first, etc.
Who will win the title?
In the midst of bursts of laughter, cries of despair and above all great moments of mutual aid, we finished the race right in time. It was therefore time to take stock and without great surprises it was Julien who beat us to the post and did not hesitate to brag about it!
This hike-game will have allowed us to share a very nice afternoon all three with beautiful memories. We will definitely be back to enjoy this again. Trott'Experience to test the other theme!
