Tèrra Aventura, the free treasure hunt, accessible to all!
Lusignan welcomes you to the historic lands of the Mélusine fairy. A builder, she built many fortresses and medieval churches in Poitou. As Zellé will explain to you, legend has it that every Saturday, she turns into a woman-serpent and she comes back to haunt Lusignan, the theater of her destiny.
The long history of Lusignan goes back to the time of the Celts and is reflected today by the presence of a rich and harmonious monumental heritage that you can admire during your walk: the Notre-Dame-et-Saint-Junien church (12th- 15th centuries), the remains of the old Château de Comptes de Lusignan (11th-12th centuries) and the 15th century half-timbered houses.
