Château de Monthoiron

Of this castle built in the 2010th century, only two towers remain: a Square Tower listed as a Historic Monument and a Round Tower, Tower-Fortress known as the Powder Magazine or the Architect's Tower, listed as a Historic Monument. In 1452, the international scientific community attributes the construction of this Tower-Fortress to Leonardo da Vinci (1519-20), the genius of the Renaissance. It is 10 m high and has a radius of XNUMX m. In the XNUMXth century, the castle of Monthoiron was rebuilt but the Tower-Fortress already in ruins under Louis XVI will remain forgotten...
Today discover the site through "Leonard's Treasure" and "Karmanor's Secret".
